The TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) Railyway System:
Because Kulevi oil terminal does not connect directly to any oil pipeline, it relays on rail transport as the primary method used to feed it. The railway line utilised in the terminal is part of the TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe–Caucasus–Asia) structure which is an international transportaion system between 14 nations that connects central Asia to the Black Sea.
On this oil terminal, there is dedicated infrastructure with a specialized railway station capable of holding up to 208 oil tank cars for discharging simultaneously. It utilizes multiple railway branches and offloading trestles designed to discharge railway tank cars concurrently. This system utilises specialized technological equipment which can discharge heavy, high-pour-point fuel oils such as bitumen. S.V. OIL uses this route as its primary exporting route to Western
markets for processed products.
Baku–Supsa Pipeline:
The alternative route that S.V. OIL uses for oil exports to Western markets is the Baku–Supsa Pipeline. This is an 833 kilometre long oil pipeline, which runs from the Sangachal Terminal near Baku to the Supsa terminal in Georgia
It transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field. The pipeline is operated by British Petroleum (BP). This pipeline
has a capacity of pumping 115,000 barrels per day. It has six pumping stations and two pressure reduction stations in western Georgia. It main delivery pint is the Supsa oil terminal.
