Our Environmental Impact
S.V. OIL understands the importance of preserving biological diversity in the areas of our production activities. We therefore have a rigorous environmental policy. This policy includes carring out activities in specially protected natural areas that are of a particular value as a habitat for rare, endangered and high value species of animals. Basically, S.V. OIL conducts risk assessment when operating in environmentally sensitive areas.
Additionally, S.V. OIL plans and implements production activities using a hierarchy of measures to mitigate the impact on biodiversity. We take into account four key actions: prevention, minimization, restoration and compensation of potential significant direct impacts. Yet also, S.V. OIL participates in research programs and industry partnerships to further accumulate knowledge and develop innovative solutions in the field of environmental protection and biodiversity protection.
